DIGITAL VISION An experimental transformation
As a development of the creative component of the VerSus+ | Heritage for PEOPLE project, this digital art exhibition, developed by UPT, originated from various pieces of deconstruction and reconstruction of images and sounds from vernacular architecture documentation. Elements of the constructive experience of inhabitation, regarding material and immaterial heritage, were processed and transformed digitally in an experimental way. By seeking the development of formal connections between art and technology, in the digital sphere, through processes of multiple languages, including the creation of sounds as a fundamental part of experimental audio-visual creation, it resulted in a fusion starting from the analogue to the digital.
The approach aims to open possibilities for the creation of new audiences, presenting new perspectives observed through digital visions, which proposes the dissemination and assimilation of experiences, methods and knowledge. The relationships between thought/action and creativity/innovation are promoted in the changing of contemporary society; and in the language that makes these changes and new experiences visible is the artistic creativity from the new digital realities of the multimedia vanguard.
In DIGITAL VISION An Experimental Transformation, a series of thrilled digital works and a video including sound art in the experimental audio-visual field, from the virtual and on-site (in-situ) environment, were presented.
